City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor Juan Salgado Elected Chair of MacArthur Foundation Board of Directors

In recognition of his leadership and commitment to economic mobility, Chancellor Juan Salgado was elected to chair the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation’s Board of Directors starting in June. MacArthur’s Board of Directors sets policies and strategic direction for the Foundation; approves grantmaking areas, initiatives, and grants; and oversees investments and the audit process through the work of its committees.

This honor is a reflection of Chancellor Salgado’s career working to provide educational and economic opportunities for Chicagoans of all backgrounds and encompasses the dedicated work that City Colleges faculty and staff do each day to support our students as they pursue their personal and professional goals.
