CPS Seniors Save More Than $9 Million on College Tuition at City Colleges

Harry S Truman, Harold Washington, Malcolm X, and Wilbur Wright Colleges have been recognized as 2025-2026 Military Friendly® Schools, a distinction that highlights their dedication to supporting student veterans and active-duty service members.
The Military Friendly® designation is awarded to institutions that excel in providing meaningful opportunities for the military community. These four City Colleges were selected based on their strong track record of helping veterans and service members achieve success in higher education. The selection process considers public data, survey responses from institutions, and direct feedback from veterans.
This year, more than 1,800 schools participated in the Military Friendly® survey, and 830 earned special recognition for exceeding the standard. In addition to earning the Military Friendly® School designation, the four City Colleges received the following awards:
Top Ten: Among the highest-ranked Military Friendly® Schools
Gold: Ranked within the top 10% of schools
Silver: Ranked within the top 20% of schools
The 2025-2026 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May and October issues of G.I. Jobs magazine and online at www.militaryfriendly.com.
