Saturday, June 15 marked graduation day for City Colleges of Chicago’s Class of 2024 Illinois high school diploma earners. Students from all six colleges where our free high school diploma preparation classes are offered gathered at the UIC Forum alongside their families, friends, and City Colleges faculty and staff for an inspiring ceremony.

The students who make up the Class of 2024 prepared for their GED or HiSET exam at one of our colleges and then went on to pass the test sometime over the last year, thereby earning their Illinois high school diploma. Many plan to continue their education at City Colleges to earn an associate degree or certificate through our Gateway Scholarship program.

High school diploma preparation classes are offered to Illinois residents for free through City Colleges’ Adult Education program.
