City Colleges Launches Guaranteed Admissions Agreement With HBCU Morehouse College

City Colleges of Chicago and Morehouse College, a Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in Atlanta, Georgia, have partnered to offer City Colleges students a seamless transfer opportunity to the HBCU.

Through a new guaranteed admissions agreement, students completing an associate in arts degree, associate in science degree, or general education curriculum (GECC) credential at City Colleges, who have a GPA of 2.7 or higher, will be automatically accepted at Morehouse when they apply. In addition to guaranteed admissions, students will be able to access early academic advising from Morehouse advisors and their application fee will be waived.

The new partnership adds to City Colleges’ network of more than 70 transfer partners, including other HBCUs, that work with us to ensure student success. Students interested in taking advantage of this guaranteed admissions agreement with Morehouse College should visit the Transfer Center at their college.
