Dhupelia comes to City Colleges with over 20 years of experience in K-12, higher education and business.
Aarti Dhupelia has been named City Colleges’ inaugural Executive Vice Chancellor-Chief Student Experience Officer (CSXO).
In this role, she will oversee the District Office of Enrollment Management and Student Services teams, and will collaborate with leadership at each of the seven colleges to establish best practice expectations for enrollment management, academic advising, student affairs, holistic support, transfer centers and career services with a goal of establishing best-in-class student services throughout a CCC student’s college experience.
She most recently served as Vice President for Undergraduate Education and Founding Dean of the Undergraduate College at National Louis University, where for nearly eight years she led the start-up and scaling of NLU’s efforts to drive equity in bachelor’s degree attainment and employment. Serving first-time freshmen, community college transfer students, and adult degree completers, the college under Aarti’s leadership grew to serve nearly 4,000 students annually by offering affordability, strong holistic support, and a personalized and professionally focused academic experience.
Prior to joining NLU, Aarti served in several senior leadership roles at Chicago Public Schools, most recently as CPS’ Chief Officer for the Office of College and Career Success, where she oversaw districtwide student wraparound support and college and career preparation programming and services, including the expansion of early college collaborations with City Colleges of Chicago. Before joining CPS, Aarti worked as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies at Marakon Associates.
Aarti holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, an Education Specialist degree from National Louis University, a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, and a certificate in Academic Leadership from Penn State University, and she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from NLU.
