City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, and the Joyce Foundation hosted Amy Loyd, Assistant Secretary for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, at Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy and Richard J. Daley College on Tuesday, April 25, showcasing just some of the progress that the unprecedented Chicago Roadmap partnership has made in the past few years.
Featuring panel discussions, a student round table, and tours of state-of-the-art facilities, the visit highlighted various facets that make the Roadmap work: establishing and maintaining the partnership, accelerating college readiness and access, and eliminating policy and communication barriers.
