This week, the Ellucian Foundation announced that Olive-Harvey College is a recipient of its 2022 Progress, Accomplishment, Thriving, Hope (PATH) Scholarship. Funding from the award will be used to provide individual scholarships to Olive-Harvey students facing financial hardship.
“Olive-Harvey College is grateful for the financial support provided by the PATH Scholarship because it will help us further our support for students in need as they pursue their academic dreams,” said Kimberly Hollingsworth, president of Olive-Harvey College. “Through Ellucian’s generosity, we can help more students navigate through financial barriers and toward college completion.”
Olive-Harvey College will receive $10,000 from the Ellucian Foundation to support student scholarships. This year, the Foundation focused its support on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs), with the goal of increasing college retention and graduation rates and reducing food insecurity. Olive-Harvey College’s status as an historically and predominantly Black community college made it eligible for the scholarship grant program, and the college is one of just 37 higher education institutions nationwide to receive the scholarship grant this year.

The Ellucian Foundation, established in 2020 by technology company Ellucian, awards block grants to higher education institutions through their PATH Scholarship in amounts of $10,000 to $25,000 to help students cover items such as housing, tuition, and food. Eligible students at each awardee institution can receive up to $1,500 through the PATH Scholarship.
