Alid Alvarado earned her high school diploma at Malcolm X college, part of the City Colleges of Chicago.
I once heard the quote: “An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is pulling you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great.”
Now that her kids are grown, she felt there was no reason not to finally put herself first.
