Inspired by his fiancée’s work in daycare, Ademola discovered an interest in child development, earned his GED at Kennedy-King and continued his education to pursue an associate degree in the field.
Inspired by his fiancée’s work in daycare, Ademola discovered an interest in child development, earned his GED at Kennedy-King, and continued his education to pursue an associate degree in the field.
Now, as Kennedy-King’s 2026 salutatorian, Ademola plans to build a career in child development. He wants to apply what he learned in the classroom one day to his own business and share his knowledge with others.
He credits City Colleges of Chicago’s accessible resources and educational opportunities with helping make his journey easier. Reflecting on the hard work and resilience that brought him to graduation, Ademola encourages other students to stay focused on their dreams, work hard, and remain dedicated to achieving their goals.
