City Colleges of Chicago faculty and staff are encouraged register for the virtual 3-hour UndocuAlly training. Participants who attend the entire session will receive an “UndocuAlly” poster to be displayed proudly in their office, cubicle, or laptop.
About the UndocuAlly Training: The City Colleges of Chicago UndocuAlly Training is designed to provide faculty and staff with information and resources to better assist undocumented students. This 3-hour training session is offered once per semester, focusing on:
The roles, expectations, and responsibilities of becoming an effective advocate for undocumented students
State and federal legislation that affects undocumented students
Admissions practices and financial aid guidelines, and
Effective ways to cultivate an open and supportive campus environment for undocumented students and their families
Please note this training is not mandatory for any City College of Chicago employee, but it is highly recommended. All CCC employees are welcome to participate regardless of role in the institution. If supervisor approval is required to attend, please make sure to communicate and obtain approval prior to making a commitment.
