Truman: College Safety Awareness Week

The Supportive Intervention Team (SIT) and the Student Government Association (SGA) are excited to announce the first OneTRU Safety Awareness Week here at Truman College from October 7 – October 10, 2024. This is a vital initiative designed to promote safety, preparedness, and awareness among all students, faculty, and staff.

Throughout the week, we’ll be offering interactive workshops, informative sessions, and hands-on demonstrations to empower our community with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe.

Here’s what you can expect:

• De-escalation and Title IX Trainings
• Mental Health Bystander Intervention seminar
• Active Shooter Drill
• Campus Safety walks with the Security Team
• Bike safety protection tips
• Hands on workshop with our new Project S.A.F.E. Coordinator, Annalise Castro
