Intional Fundamentals Talents of Teaching

City Colleges Academic Affairs is proud to offer Instructional Fundamentals: Talents of Teaching, a self-paced asynchronous short course intended to support faculty instructional development in line with Pillar 6 of the Academic Excellence Framework (ccc.edu/aef). Instructional Fundamentals: Talents of Teaching introduces the five Talents and their purpose in guiding excellent instruction at City Colleges.

Objectives:

1. Name and describe the importance of the five Talents of Teaching at CCC
2. Prepare to implement Student Success indicators to one’s teaching context
3. Prepare to contribute to CCC vis-à-vis Institutional Health indicators

Examples of reflections & artifacts you’ll work on:

• Case studies to reflect and prepare to act on Talents of Teaching
• Reflections on indicators of Talents of Teaching

Schedule:
The short course is self paced and will be available throughout the Fall 2025 semester. Participants should plan to dedicate 4-6 hours total to take part in the short course.
