City Colleges Academic Affairs is proud to offer Instructional Fundamentals: Student Learning & Success, a two-week, asynchronous short course intended to support faculty instructional development in line with Pillar 1 of the Academic Excellence Framework (ccc.edu/aef). Instructional Fundamentals: Student Learning & Success helps faculty reframe teaching as learning, leverage students’ prior knowledge, and preparing for the start of the term.

    • Application of student-focused learning
    • Tool to determine students’ prior knowledge
    • Modifications to syllabus

    Schedule:
The short course will run from Wednesday, January 22, to Wednesday, February 5. Participants should plan to dedicate 2-3 hours each week (4-6 hours total) to take part in the short course.

To sign up, please complete the interest form by Thursday, January 17.

    Short Course Objectives
    1. Understand the shift from teaching focus to student learning focus
