Healing in Community: Virtual Launch of the Project S.A.F.E. Literary Magazine

Join us to celebrate the launch of Project S.A.F.E.’s first literary and art magazine, Healing in Community: Voices from the CCC Community. The event will include a description of the vision and purpose of the art magazine and Project S.A.F.E.’s collaboration with Awakenings Art. We will hear from students and staff as we showcase visual art, poetry, and prose from members of the City Colleges’ community focused on healing from sexual violence and other forms of gender-based violence.

Through this publication, we sought to showcase work that explores how community healing looks after gender-based violence, and what community care looks like in preventing violence. As a reader, we ask you to consider: how do you show up for survivors in your community in the aftermath of trauma? How do you want the CCC community to show up and care for you? What does it look like to heal in community with others?
