Harold Washington: New Student Orientation

Join us for New Student Orientation at Harold Washington College, in the heart of the hustle!

At orientation, you will learn about college resources, processes, programs and classes you have the opportunity to enroll into. You will also learn about student clubs, organizations, take a tour of the college, meet staff and students. 

This is your next home away from home and we are here for you!

To register for a session, visit your student portal at my.ccc.edu and click "Quick Access." From there, click Navigate → Appointments → Schedule an Appointment, to select the date and time that works best for you. We have in person and virtual/Zoom options, and host evening sessions too! 

You do not have to take this step alone – we are here to help!  Please bring a photo ID with you to campus to enter the building and to use at check-in. 

Please have your placement test complete or transcripts/test scores submitted to the college. Also, please know how you are going to pay for classes and verify this with our Financial Aid or Business Office team. If you have completed your admissions steps, you will register for classes the same day!
