Please join the City Colleges of Chicago community for a free, exclusive viewing of the new exhibit Elizabeth Catlett: “A Black Revolutionary Artist and All That It Implies” at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Elizabeth Catlett (1915–2012) was a remarkable sculptor, printmaker, feminist, and lifelong activist who helped shape 20th-century art. Over nearly a century—from the era of Jim Crow to the election of President Barack Obama—Catlett used her work to stand up for justice, equality, and the power of art to create change.
Please bring your City Colleges ID and enter for check-in at the Modern Wing Entrance on Monroe Street.
This event is open to all City Colleges staff, faculty, and students. Light refreshments will be served.
