AI in 45 Workshop: AI Enablement in Practice: Applying Generative AI Through the 9 Principles

This session introduces faculty to the AI Enablement Manifesto and its nine guiding principles for successful AI adoption in education. Participants will explore how Generative AI can be applied to transform real work—not just create demos—while maintaining academic integrity and accessibility. The session will demonstrate practical strategies for integrating AI into teaching and learning using Microsoft Copilot and free GenAI tools, aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Through hands-on activities, attendees will learn how to design authentic assessments, create accessible content, and apply enablement principles to classroom practices. By the end of the session, faculty will have actionable techniques and resources to responsibly leverage AI for real impact.
