Are you sometimes confused between what’s an “activity” versus an “assessment”? Are you unsure what the purpose is of each, and why both are important to learning?
If so, we hope you’ll attend this special QM webinar where we’ll do a deep dive into this topic, with time included for your questions. Join the discussion to get a better understanding of the similarities and, more importantly, the differences between activities and assessments — with some practical examples of each.

Quality Matters is an international organization that provides trainings and credentials for people teaching asynchronous and online-live courses.
The organization defines its focus as follows: "On research – the development of the rubric is based in national standards of best practice, the research literature, and instructional design principles. On student learning – the rubric and process are designed to promote student learning. On quality – the review sets a quality goal at the 85% level or better (courses do not have to be perfect but better than good enough)".
The Academic Excellence Framework (AEF) clearly prioritizes the skills, activities, initiatives, roles, and goals that directly support consistently strong teaching and learning at City Colleges of Chicago.
