Before enrolling at Richard J. Daley College, Paulina was looking for an opportunity to grow. After being in the workforce, she began feeling stagnant and knew it was time for a change.

As Paulina began thinking about returning to school, she reflected on her earlier education. She remembered how that experience expanded her mindset, enabled her to see the world differently, and gave her a sense of purpose. She found all that and more at Daley.

Not only was Daley close to Paulina’s home, but it was also affordable. The support services set her up for success both in and out of the classroom. They helped her graduate as Daley’s 2026 valedictorian with an associate in science.

She hopes to transfer to complete her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and eventually wants to earn a master’s or doctorate degree.

What Paulia enjoyed most about her time at Daley was the community and because of that, she is more than equipped to see her dreams become a reality.
