ncrease Student Engagement and Learning by Leveraging Technological Tools
TWT 101 is a two-week 6-hour asynchronous course focusing on "online live" and web-enhanced courses competencies. It’s relevant to instructors teaching any modality.
The course is facilitated by a City Colleges lead and allows two weeks for you to work through the modules at your own pace. The target audience for TWT 101 is faculty and staff who want to explore creating effective learning experiences for students in Brightspace.
Faculty should take Brightspace Foundations before taking TWT 101. For more information view the Brightspace Foundations page.
TWT 101 has this format:
2 weeks of asynchronous learning in Brightspace (videos, content, discussions)
practice exercises in your Brightspace practice classroom (known as a "sandbox"), including a designed lesson using Backward Design, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, accessible course content and evidence of Regular & Substantive Interaction (RSI)
Knowledge Checks you can take as many times as you like at the end of each week.
This course is a collaborative effort between City Colleges instructors and staff.
The Academic Excellence Framework (AEF) clearly prioritizes the skills, activities, initiatives, roles, and goals that directly support consistently strong teaching and learning at City Colleges of Chicago.
