Each semester, many faculty conduct classroom observations as part of the Tenure Assistance Program (TAP). This training will outline some of the key principles of an effective classroom observation, the logistics of classroom observation, and an opportunity to practice a classroom observation write-up.
The main focus of this training will be on classroom observations conducted as part of TAP. However, the practice and skills involved will be transferable to other kinds of classroom observations.
The Classroom Observation Training will run from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Following the Classroom Observation Training, Department Chairs are invited to stay to review the roles and responsibilities of the department chair in the TAP process.
