Through a partnership between City Colleges of Chicago and the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), CHA residents and Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program participants may be eligible to take courses at City Colleges at low or no cost.

What Does the Program Cover?

The Partners in Education program covers expenses such as tuition, required uniforms, books, and most exam fees for the City Colleges academic program or training program that the student is enrolled in. Eligible students can enroll in the following programs: associate degrees, advanced certificates, basic certificates, and a limited number of Continuing Education courses/programs (professional and personal development).

Am I Eligible?

  • Must be a current CHA resident or HCV Program participant
  • Cannot have past debt with City Colleges of Chicago
  • Cannot receive student loans, and past student loans must be in good standing
