This workshop asks participants to make a declaration that encapsulates the survivor’s journey. Participants will sort through an assortment of words (similar to poetry kits) and craft their own survivor’s manifesto. They will then use this manifesto as inspiration for a collage. They will end up with a poster that showcases the relationship between their words and the imagery they’ve chosen to represent them. Could include a collaboration component: having participants work in groups to create survivor manifestos.
